Honey-garlic chicken thighs
Ten minutes on Sunday: raw chicken thighs go into two freezer bags with a honey-garlic sauce. Two dinners for 4, baked straight from a fridge thaw.

Ingredients
- 3 lb chicken thighs (straight from the freezer is fine)
- ⅔ cup honey
To serve: 2 cups rice and a bag of frozen broccoli each night
From the pantry: 6 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp oil
On Sunday
- Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic powder and oil.
- Split the chicken between 2 gallon freezer bags and pour half the sauce into each.
- Press out the air, seal, and freeze the bags lying flat. Label them. No cooking today.
On the night
- The night before, move one bag to the fridge. The chicken marinates while it thaws.
- Heat the oven to 425°F. Tip the chicken and sauce into a baking dish.
- Bake 25–30 minutes, until the chicken reaches 165°F. Serve with rice and broccoli, spooning the sauce over.
Freezer and thaw
Freeze at 0°F or colder. It keeps its best quality for 9 months (raw chicken pieces); food kept frozen at 0°F stays safe indefinitely. Thaw in the fridge overnight, never on the counter, and heat cooked food to 165°F.
